Running on Empty tells the story of two recent college graduates who are moving out of their college town and onto the next step in their lives. In their relationship, Felix has always been a career driven workaholic while Georgia has always been more free spirited. While Felix is on his way to the west coast to work for a tech company, Georgia wants to continue living as a free spirit. Traveling the world even if it means going broke. This duality mixed in with a multiday road trip is the perfect storm for a test of what their relationship really means. |

They Live Forever is a film about the director's (Frankie Walls) loss of her older brother and how their family is learning to cope and grow stronger from it. The film takes inspiration stylistically from documentaries like Naomi Osaka and Last Chance U. Using previously recorded pictures and videos juxtaposed with current day interviews, Frankie tells an intimate and deeply personal story of her family's grief. |

Music composed, mixed and mastered by: Jeffrey Daijiro Taylor Film Directed by: Justin Li The film Moments Fleeting is about two young strangers who decide to break from their everyday routine to spend the night walking around the beautiful city of Hong Kong. While the premise may seem simple, the heart of the film is in the character’s interactions, the shots of them in the city and the music that blends it all together. On a musical level, a great deal of intention was placed on the score’s symbolism. This may be heard in the use of specific instruments, melodic ideas and textures capturing the aura of specific characters, locations and moments. While the symbolic ideas start out simple, they evolve as the film meshes them together. With every second of the film being scored, this allows the score to not just serve as ambiance, but to provide a complete second telling of the story playing out on screen. "Never Last"Composed December 2019Description:
Never Last is a coming-of-age film which deals with the idea of growing up and seeing your friends change. The score has a light rock and modern electric sound. There’s also a strong use of motivic development as the film progresses. This is meant to depict the score growing up with the main character. |
